About Bartender3

Bartender3 is an Ace2 AddOn to provide more flexibility and functionality to the Action Buttons. It is NOT based on Bartender2, but a total rewrite. Although the functionality is basically the same, Bartender3 was explicitly designed for WoW 2.0

The current version of Bartender3 supports nearly all Features BT2 offered, plus some more, which include:

   - Full style control ( Alpha / Scale / Padding )
   - Split up Bars into Rows
   - Set the number of buttons per bar ( only 1 - 12 supported, for short bars )
   - Dynamic Page Swapping for Stances ( on all Bars, by default enabled on Bar1 )
   - Dynamic Page Swapping on Modifier Down ( Shift / Ctrl / Alt )
   - Custom Styles included: Zoomed Buttons ( Hide Border from BT2 ), Dreamlayout
   - Integrated RedRange and full support for Cooldown Count ( for example with OmniCC by Tuller )
   - Self Casting using a modifier key, or Right Click on the button

If your settings seem to have reset after the last update, go into the Options -> Profile and Choose Default again, or alternatively, copy your settings from Default using the "Copy" option.

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

try setting a profile in the profile tab in the bartender menu. you may have to load it each time but it will be better than setting it up every login

Need to know why the hot keys dont display on the main bar. Yes i have the hot key numbers enabled in the bar tender menu but still nothing. Maybe next update this will be corrected?? so because of this i cannot use any skills on the main bar without using the mouse please help

Maybe the powers that be here can help me with something. The bars for this addon will never line up. Ive tried it 3 ways to sunday. You layer them ontop of each other and some will line up and others wont, they just force themselves out of position.

For Druids and/or Warriors: There is an AddOn called Ace2. The icon is a screw somewhere around your mini map. Go to Bartender3, first Unlock your action bars, then enable every bar until your Battle/Defensive/Berserk Stance skills pop up (or for Druids, Bear, Cat, Dire Bear, Tree Form) Once you find your Stance or Shapeshift Bar, remember the Bar number. Click on the plus (+) where it says Bar 1 on Ace2, then click the plus (+) on Button Paging. Click on Stance and it will show every Stance/Shapeshift there is. Click on any Stance/Shapeshift and put the Action Bar number that your Stance/Shapeshift is in and insert that number in that slot. (EX. My bear form is in Bar 9, so I put Bar 9 in Bear Form slot)Once you change Stances/Shapeshift, your Action Bar should change to its right Action Bar. I hope this can help the people that are having this problem.

I've been using this mod for a long while but just recently I can't change the style of the bars it's all just the big blank squares and I want them on Dreamlayout. Any suggestions?

I think there's a bug or something, cause I play warrior and use 3 bars over each other, and sometimes the bars fucks up and the first and second bar got the same spells. But if I relog it's normal again.

My hotkeys are only showed on one of the bars (the hotkeys from 1-9. My hotkeys from the original blizz bottom left actionbar does not (i.e f1-f9) and neither does my shift addon from the second rigth action bar (i.e. shift-1 to shift-9). How do I fix this? (yhe option hotkeys is enabled but I still cant see them but on one bar)

Is there any way to color a button on a bar based on whether the buff/debuff is present on the target? I've seen this elsewhere... but can't find an addon that will do this to bartender bars. For example, MOTW button turns green because your target still has MOTW, then normal when they do not, and you know to recast it. Mangle turns red until mangle expires on the target, then you know to put it back in the rotation more.

How come that only catform + bearform gets new bars? what about moonkin and tree of life? its pretty anoying to have it all on 1 or 2 bars. Would be so happy if that would be added.

Is there possibility to swap between 2 action bars with scroll button on mouse (main action bar)? Like in standard WOW interface. Plus i play druid so dont want to mess with stances
