About Bongos3

I have written a new action bar addon, called Dominos, and am no longer supporting this one. Please feel free to try it out, along with Trinity Bars, and Bartender3

Bongos3 is a main action bar replacement designed be both powerful, yet lightweight and easy to use.

Included Addons

Bongos - The core addon.
Bongos_AB - The action bar portion of Bongos.
Bongos_CastBar - A casting bar replacement. Colors the bar based on if the spell being cast is helpful, harmful or neutral. Also includes a timer.
Bongos_RollBar - Makes the dialogs that pop up when rolling on items movable.
Bongos_Stats - A movable framerate, latency, and addon memory usage indicator.
Bongos_XP -A movable experience/reputation bar.
Bongos_Options - A load on demand options menu.

Features

Every bar can be moved, hidden, and have its scale and opacity altered
Sticky bars - Each bar can be anchored to any other bar
120 action buttons, which can be setup in any number of bars
Customizable stance transitions and state visibility for each action bar
Buff and debuff highlighting on action buttons

Reporting Bugs

When reporting bugs, give me what version of Bongos you are running, what addons you're running, and any steps to reproduce the problem. Due to how many bugs are usually reported, I'm not likely to respond if you're lacking any of the requested information.
Check for similar issues before creating a new ticket.
Do not post entire bug reports into the comments section. Post a ticket instead. Failure to follow this step will result in your issue being deleted.

Is there a converter for settings between older versions of Bongos and Bongos3?

There will be no converter for settings from Bongos2 to Bongos3. The two addons are different enough in design that it would not be possible.

I cannot do anything during Teron Gorefiend, the Kara Chess Event, or when mind controlling an enemy!

Make sure you have whatever bar you've marked as being the possess bar as being shown. If no action bar is checked as being the possess bar, it will default to being the pet bar.

Where did the minimap bar go?

Bongos3 does not include a minimap bar. Try Bongos Cornucopia for it and a bunch of other things. The reason I did this was to try and focus the main package more on things related to breaking up the main bar.

Why is there no option for cooldown count?

Bongos does not include cooldown count. Try OmniCC. A long time ago, Bongos did actually include cooldown count. It was removed when I developed OmniCC simply because OmniCC has the ability to work on absolutely anything.

I cannot get my bar to change when I press shift+<number> or mousewheel!

You need to setup manual paging. Please refer to the wiki for more details.

I cannot get paging to work!

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

are you planning on fixing this mod... right now you cant set it to switch bars when you change stances on a warr or stealth on a rogue.

Gah. QQ. I love this mod, and it suits my UI. No other bar mods have it's functions. Really gonna miss it. Is Dominos going to be able to (what bongos does now), alt-click to make a box of buttons, or is it going to be the standard annoying 12 buttons in a row, thing, where you have to use two bars to get a certain amount of buttons?

I've always wanted people who wanted to alter their minimap to download a minimap addon. Try something like basic minimap.

dominos looks like it will b a great addon; i have one suggestion though, keep the minimap bar like what bongos cornicopia has because i myself (and many others) find that being able 2 lock buttons; hide buttons as well as move buttons on the minimap is a great feature.the other map options may/may not be important to others but i feel that many people owuld appreciate it if we could still have the minimap button options from bongos cornicopia with dominos

IF you SHIFT+LEFTCLICK on the minimap0 button, the binding page will appear.

Not SHIFT+RIGHTCLICK.

I cant delete Bongos3, its not in my addon folder or even in my WoWMatrix, do I have to delete Bongos2 or something? Help!!

you need to fix a bug when you pick up a piece in chess in karazhan. the action buttons come up.

Bongos3 does have keybindings!

Seems the note has slipped down a few pages, i only realised cus i read (and understood :P) the german post on the front page:

IF YOU SHIFT+RIGHTCLICK ON THE MINIMAP BUTTON, THE BINDING PAGE WILL APPEAR!

I agree, I just wasted 30 mins setting this up to look like my old bongos before I realized it doesn't have the key bindings? Lame!

Does anyone else notice a longer delay between bars switching when going in/out of another form than there was in bongos2? i try and shift out of bear and press travel form (which is on my humanoid bar) but im having to force myself to wait an extra second to press it because the bar switches to slowly. switched back to bongos 2 and its able to instant change bars again.

The wiki got all the needed info for the stance bars, wich also include the stealth and druid form.

As for the keybinding it seem the /keybound command is not working on the latest version
