What is Auctionator

Figuring out a good buyout price when posting auctions can be tedious and time-consuming. If you're like most people, you first browse the current auctions to get a sense of how much your item is currently selling for. Then you undercut the lowest price by a bit. If you're creating multiple auctions you're bouncing back and forth between the Browse tab and the Auctions tab, doing lots of division in your head, and doing lots of clicking and typing.

How it works

Auctionator makes this whole process easy and streamlined. When you select an item to auction, Auctionator displays a summary of all the current auctions for that item sorted by per-item price. Auctionator also calculates a recommended buyout price based on the cheapest per-item price for your item. If you're selling a stack rather than a single item, Auctionator bases its recommended buyout price on the cheapest stack of the same size.

If you don't like Auctionator's recommendation, you can click on any line in the summary and Auctionator will recalculate the recommended buyout price based on that auction. Of course, you can always override Auctionator's recommendation by just typing in your own buyout price

With Auctionator, creating an auction is usually just a matter of picking an item to auction and clicking the Create Auction button.

New in version 1.1

Auctionator now allows you to quickly post multiple auctions for the same item. For instance, if you have 4 stacks of 20 Golden Fish Sticks in your bags and you want to auction them off as 16 stacks of 5, you would:

1. Create a stack of 5 in your bags
2. Drag that stack of 5 to the Auctionator window
3. If you like the recommended buyout price, do nothing. Otherwise, change the buyout as you would if you were just creating a single auction.
4. Click the Create Multiple Auctions button
5. Click Okay in the dialog that pops up.

This is an awesome mod it's effective, makes you just as much gold as auctioneer add on, and is a lot less bloated. I highly recommend this mod.

I thought of another little "Nifty" feature you can add to your mod. I ran across an item today that was "of the monkey"...there were items in there but they were "of stamina" and "of agility" - I think you know where I'm going with this one: When you do searches on items that have "of agility", etc - could you have your mod search for just the beginning of that item so if there aren't any of that type, it can at least get some similar results?

Another idea to tack onto that is - If it's a piece of lvl 25 shoulder armor - and no matches are hit - think you could drop down and have it search for lvl 23-27 (2 levels below, and 2 levels above, same armor type, same armor slot)

These could have some options that could be like "Search for similar items when no match is found" and "Search for items of different types when (no match is found/always/never)"

I'll definitely consider this for a future version

    That would be awesome

Hi all. Just uploaded version 1.1 which allows you to quickly post multiple auctions for the same item. See the description above for an example of how it works.

There's nothing exceptional about installing Auctionator. Just like all addons you should be able to just download the zip file, open it on your machine and drag the Auctionator folder from the zip file into your World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons folder.

I couldn't get it to work either, turns out it doesn't work together with AH Quicksearch. Skylarc, if you don't have AH Quicksearch I'd suggest disabling all you auction addons other than Auctionator. See if that makes it work. If so, enable them one by one until you find the one that's conflicting. Hope this works for you.

Other than that, great addon! I will stop mourning for Auctionsync's disappearance now ;-)

    Uhm isn't AH_QuickSearch obsolete now?

Shift clicking items is now implemented and enters the name into the search bar if you have the AH open.

Version 1.1.1 now should work with AH_QuickSearch

Much like others have commented: Genius. Pure Genius. I've always liked the idea of auctioneer but it's much too bloated and you constantly have to do half-hour long scans and even then it gets out of date and you have to reset the shit constantly.

This mod is lightweight, not bloated at all and performs what 99% of sellers do. They scan the AH for w/e they're selling, undercut it by a little bit, and post the auction. BRILLIANT - I'll be rating it 5 stars and adding it to my favorites.

*edit* ok, so aparrently curse's redesign has made it so I can't rate your addon 5 stars, but I'll keep checking back for when they fix it so I can rate it - also I wanted to request a feature that's available in auctioneer that would be awesome to have here - posting multiple auctions, I'd love to be able to alt-click something like I do now, but then specify how many I would like to sell at that price. Like 5 stacks of 5, or 2 stacks of 20, etc.

In my admittedly limited testing, it does seem to play nicely with Auctioneer.
