Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

I keep seeing others mentioning this, but not in a clear way.

The Auto-Gather portion of my ct_mapmod is only half-working. It records new nodes, but ONLY when I fail to get something from the node (i.e. if I attempt to harvest ore when I don't have the mining skill, or if I attempt to pick an herb without herbalism). If I DO have the skill and get material from the node, I don't get a marker on the map.

What's up with THAT?

I have this thing that annoys me with this mod, but I dont know if it's a bug or not. When using this mod I want to use Blizz trackers for quest. Meaing the autoadjust themselfs on teh screen depending on how long the quest name is. But with this adodn installed if I do not use theriu tracker(Wich I would assume it woudl uses Blizz's). It goes like Blizz exept it actes like I don't have any of the bars on the right side. wich means the bars covers up part/all ofthe quest objective.

Using the questtracker in the mod is not a good option as then it won't autoadjust depednign on how long the questname and objective is. Not loading the mod is not a good option either as then I also miss the lvl on the quest. (If you are lvl 50 f.eks all quests from lvl 48 to 52 will show up yellow, thoguh 5 lvl differnce is quite a bit).

So basically is there any way I can use Blizz poition for tracking quests, but still see the exact lvl for the quest? Either with this addon, or another one?

Hi all :-)
After two years i'm on wow again :-)
I have this error :

The strange thing that i have 3 different character, 2 on quel'thalas and 1 on crushridge.
On quel thalas no problem with 2 char, on crushridge this issue...
I have try to delete server folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\MY ACCOUNT but is not fix yet...
Someone know how i can fix it?

Was there a function in ctmod that when you delivered a killing blow in BGs, you would get a congratulatory "first blood" or "unstoppable"? i stopped using ct mod and a short time after that i noticed i wasnt getting those remarks.

I think you should disable the note function for the friendlist or even better add an option to enable/disable it, because Blizzard added this function to the default interface with patch 2.4

-Class bar still unmovable.

-Unable to bind to mouse3; Have to do it manually (this is a long term bug that has never been addressed)

-Buncha of LUA errors that I don't need to get into since they've already been listed

Hey, Hey sweet news my CTMod friends. Go to http://www.ctmod.net home site and the whole package is undated all eleven Mods. Not even 3 weeks old. And CT_UnitFrame & CT_Timer not even 3 days old. Yes My friends all but bossraids is there and competely updated. I downloaed the advance package and found no bugs yet, all seams to be working find. Lets hope it stays that way.

Having an issue with CT_MOD's bar mod. It is not letting me use the keybindings i have set. When i go into options the bind is there but the spell is not. When i press the key, the bind is not activated on the bar. Can anyone help me or is having a similar problem?
