Keeps track of your current location.

TO INSTALL: Put the FuBar_LocationFu folder into
\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\

Embedded Libraries: TouristLib by Boss.

Features:
Shows you current zone/subzone.
Shows status of the current area.
Shows the standard latitude, longitude coordinates for WoW, for both your current position, and if viewing the map, the position under your cursor.
Shows the level range of your current zone.
Shows the instances in your current zone.
Shows the recommended zones/instances you should go to (based on level and friendliness of the area).
On the map, hovering over a zone lists the level of the zone, all the instances, and their levels. It also shows the friendliness of the zone.
Clicking opens the world map.
Ctrl-clicking will open atlas.
Shift-clicking puts information in your chat box, to send to others.

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

This mod appears to have been killed by the latest patch update. It was working as of yesterday and now with the new patch downloaded and installed, its back to the default info for level ranges etc... Ie: Nothing. I have fubar location installed, according to my curse client managed packages. I have downloaded it several times here, as well as on wowace.com etc. and no matter how many times I uninstall, reinstall etc, or where I get it from. It just isnt working.

If I go into the fubar options where you select what plugins you want enabled and or showing, Location_fu shows up fine, but you can click it till you get metacarpal syndrome and nothing happens. =/ Blizzard killed another great mod.

Any chance of getting it fixed?>

I was getting a hook error for a bit, now no errors at all, it just doesnt load up. Durability and experience is still working fine, but those are the only ones.

LocationFu still seems to work for me. Though I had to disable most of my other FuBar addons. Most of them don't seem to work now.

It would be really nice to get the update for the fubar location plugin. They are currently out of date hear on curse.com(3/28/08). Does it have a support page? Shouldn't support pages be included hear at curse.com. Is there a diffrent update that will do a good job?

Ckknight hasn't been keeping his addons updated on other sites recently. The version currently posted here is old. You can get the latest version from http://files.wowace.com/FuBar_LocationFu/FuBar_LocationFu.zip, and the latest versions of any other addons by Ckknight from files.wowace.com.

FuBar doesn't load up when I use this or the newer version of DurabilityFu. When these two are enabled, FuBar doesn't show up at all. If I disable them both, FuBar loads up just fine. I went back to my older versions of LocationFu and DurabilityFu and it loads up just fine. I'll have to stick with the older versions for now.

Using last version of FuBar, DurabilityFu and LoationFu here.
Pls, before to post something like this update all your addons (also update your libs if u have standalone versions installed even if u are using your Ace2 addons with externals).

I can see the drop down menu for this add-on on the top left hand side of the main game window, but I have no way to leave it up if I move the cursor out. Also, when I change to map (M), it stops showing, AND NO COORDINATES!

Anyone?

Hmm this does not seem to be working for me (the map part). When viewing the map all i do is see the standard wow map, but no coords for where i put my cursor.
Do i need to do something specific to enable this?
Note: Gatherer does add items to my map in form of small icons, can this be interfering?

For those of you saying dependency missing and its not working... you need to dl this if you havent already... this is the main thing needed for all FuBar mods to work as I understand them...

Cartographer is bloated and has 15 on-load errors for me. Bring back coords on the world map? Thanks.
(don't suggest a broken mod for a feature you remove that was working fine, I'm done with your mods if you don't put this feature back in)
