What is it? - A simple combat log that displays events similar to how SCT/D would in a log, using icons to display spells/skills. It seperates incoming events (left side) from out going events (right side) from misc. events (middle).
What all can it show?
- Your hits, spells, misses, heals, etc...
- Incoming damage, spells, heals, buffs, debuffs, etc...
- Power gain
- Honor, Reputation, SKill, and Experience gain
- Mob/People you have slain
- Combat start/stop
- Timestamps and details in tooltips
- High hit stat tracking for both incoming and outgoing skills.
- Combat Summaries
- Shift+Click to paste events of history into Chat Edit Box
Where did it come from? - Original idea by Bant. Coding help/samples from Andalia`s SideCombatLog and CombatChat.
How do I use it? - Unzip EavesDrop into your interface\addons directory. For more info on installing, please read install.txt. Now just run WoW and once logged in, you will see the EavesDrop in the middle of your screen. Left click the EavesDrop Tab to drag it. Right click the EavesDrop Tab to see the options menu.
FAQ
My peridoic damage is not showing up in the combat log or on the screen! How do I fix it? - You have turned off periodic damage on the Advanced Options under Interface options. Make sure the "Periodic Damage" check box is checked, even if you have Damage unchecked.
How do I reset EavesDrop or load another users settings? - EavesDrop uses the Ace2 profile system. By default all characters use the same profile. You may change this for each character using the Profile area of the option menu. You can reset the options for the current profile using the Rest option in the menu.
How do I change the fonts? - EavesDrop uses the games default fonts. You will need to use a font program like ClearFont of Fontabulous to change it.

Edit: been messing around with i more since i posted seems to be something with "eePanels2" that hides it unless grouped....
Edit2: Figured it out it was a "eePanels2" script that Aton's UI uses

Ouren saidReporting into the chat (shift click or whatever) does not work with characers with names like "Fyür".
I cant do reports into chat on my warrior with that name.
Kylli works just fine.

Cyrada18 saidctrl-left click on the arrow will scroll all the way down. and u can also hold down ctrl and it should scrol faster with the mousewheel. And yes a timer update would be nice , i was having some issues with the time where a boss would hit 4 times in .3 sec.

khariv saidAs long as we're making improvement suggestions, Ive got a couple.
First, when the combat is very short (5 seconds or so), the combat summary lists a ridiculuous number like 5.4500000000005 seconds. If this could be truncated to 2 decimal points, I think that would satisfy even the most hard core stat freaks.
Secondly, along the same lines, a lot of the time the combat timer is just odd. The last combat I had said -8909.9399999999 seconds in combat. (That's Negative 8.9k seconds) Not sure whats going on there, but something is clearly not right there. (If it helps, im 1 hour later than my server time)... Any ideas on this?

Also, would it be possible to condense "spammy" spells such as Cannibalize, First Aid, etc.

Of course if another event occured during First Aid: 3 x First Aid Battle Shout Fades 5 x First Aid
Reduce the spammyness of some stuff.

wallix saidAnyone else get problems with this mod in AV or other high traffic areas? Ever since I started using Eavesdrop I noticed that in Vann's room or Balinda's room that WoW starts to choke and get stuttery/choppy with this mod enabled. I wonder if it's the feature that records your hits and crits?

wallix saidPossible bug. When I uncheck, "Fade" (So it's on all the time) the whole log disappears. Even stranger, when I hover over it, the tooltips still show-up. If I don't leave the Fade option on I can't see events. The only thing I have behind it is the bottom bar from Skinner.

I also am having the history button/history and the history tracked (stored in it's variable file) when unenabled - why not have this as a LOD addition.

zebai saidI have a request, can you please add the actual combat damage (player & target) to be toggable. Personally I only want the xp/faction/summaries/honor etc..
I'm content with my SCT for the combat text, I just want these other things out of my chat log into something smaller like this.

Xizl saidI can't get this addon to work.. I want it to only show buff fades/gaines and dmg taken but no matter what I do all I get is +/- combat buff fades and rep gaines. I tried disabeling everything and enabeling everything still only get rep/buff fade/combat
